From 14th to 26th March, we will have a pop-up charity sale for Noto peninsula earthquake at Cool Japan Paris. 10% of MONO Japanese Art sale goes to the donation. Especially Wajima lacquerware artists.
The huge earthquake hit on the 1st January 2024 in Noto peninsula in Japan. Wajima, where holds the largest lacquerware production, was harshly damaged. Many people lost loved ones, housing, ateliers.
People there did not give up, yet they need financial means to rebuild everything. We would like to support their hope and wish.
If you happen to be in Paris around, please pass by this charity sale to see our pieces. This time, the show contains some Wajima lacquerwares. As the preparation was short, we could not have many Wajima pieces. However, we would be happy to explain you the beauty of Wajima lacquerwares.
